Game-Based Learning and Information Literacy

Gaming increases: 

• teamwork - people are more willing to work together if they've gamed together (even if they lose) because they know how that person communicates

• optimism - people will try something over and over because they understand that the task is achievable

• success - the "epic win" feeling (while addicting for some) motivates people to be better and take risks they usually wouldn't take in the "real world"
